Dawlish is to have a open air ice rink for the three day May Day bank holiday from 3rd to 5th of May.
The town council chipped in £1,000 towards the hire charge.
The rink is organised by the Dawlish Chamber of Commerce at the cost of £4,000.
It is hoped it will attract thousands of visitors to Dawlish.
The rink will be set up on the lawn and will also have a snow machine and penguin mascots for the children.
