This week is 'Get Walking Week' so if you don't do it already GO FOR A WALK!! If you're in Newton Abbot any time try the brand new cycle/walking route which has opened today from the Town Quay to Kingsteignton, with an absolutely fantastically designed footbridge across the river. Join a walking group like 'Walk This Way' in Dawlish which meets every week for walks of varying lengths depending ...
Thanks, will look.
Thanks Carer. Is there information posted somewhere (a citation) about what they did to be awarded the VC?
Yes please.
I'm forecasting that books will largely disappear within next 20 years. Kindles, Kobos, Nexus etc are all so much more convenient. Why have shelves full of dusty books which may never be read again when you can have access to an on-line library at any time. Devon libraries are going on-line so you can already "borrow" e-books without having to visit library, just browse on-line.
Ah, McGonagall, an unsurpassed poet of his time! Is he your favourite?
@HuwMatthews2 LOL. Not a nationalist but someone who feels his heritage and, having been born in the valleys, empathises with the community destruction that was caused by the pit closures. And, of course, I will always support Welsh rugby even though I now live in England.
Looking at the discussion threads it appears that at this instant in time the fickle finger of fate has placed the "Powderham Pig Factory" between "The Silence of Big Ben" and "The Iron Lady"
Looks like even the Huffington Post is getting in on the act. Perhaps they should be arrested? http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/04/16/margaret-thatcher-funeral-spoof_n_3091534.html?1366119458
