Dawlish Town went out of the FA Cup last night after being beaten 3-2 at Wimborne Town.

The hosts scored what proved to be the winner in the third minute of extra-time.

The night had started so well for Dawlish, who took a 15th minute lead via a superb header from Derek Fields.

But the hosts were level by half-time and, within five minutes of the restart, had taken the lead.

The visitors battled back into the contest and deservedly equalised midway through the second half through Joe Bushin.

Both sides then had, and missed, chances to complete the tie without the need for the extra half hour, but those chances went begging.

And the two sides, who drew 0-0 in Saturday's first meeting at Sandy Lane, went into extra-time to decide who earn a trip to Odd Down in the next round.

Sounds unfortunate to me - never mind, the mighty Lish can now focus on winning the Western League and with it promotion to the Southern League!
