Ian Langler of Dawlish Coasters holds a narrow lead in the Fox River/Ironbridge Runner Devon Race Series going into the fourth round at Plymouth on May 30. The Plymouth Half-Marathon, for which entries have now closed, includes the next round of the popular series which has already seen fierce competition during the early races of the season. Langler was eighth Devon runner in the opening race, the Braunton 10 miles, and followed that up with seventh on the Bideford Half-Marathon and 11th on the Teignbridge 10. Just four points behind him in the overall standings is Dave Tomlin of Teignbridge Trotters, who followed Langler over the line at Braunton, and was then first Devon runner home at Bideford. However, he only just made the top 20 on the Teignbridge 10.
