HIGH demand for the first Dawlish Triathlon, to be held on September 30, at Dawlish Warren, has forced organisers to increase numbers from 150 participants to 200.

"This is now set at the maximum that we can take for our first year," said organiser, Bob Bowen. "We thought we would struggle to get people to take part and now we are increasing our numbers to 200.

"Next year we will have to look at running the event over a couple of groups so that we can accommodate everyone..."
