Saw this whilst surfing the net this morning and thought it was quite a good idea. Checked the nearest place to us that does it. Nearest was Bude and had a few white goods.

 

Wonder if it would catch on around here. I'm sure there's lots of good gear sitting in peoples garages,

lofts and sheds looking for a new home.

It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns. It's all about reuse and keeping good stuff out of landfills. Yes indeed, used the Exeter group several times in the past.

One word of warning (it happened to me): if your email address ever gets hacked, they will never let you back on again.
