Does anyone know the best mobile provider in Dawlish?  I'm with O2 at the minute and live on the east side of Dawlish.  Even though the O2 mast is not that far (west of The Humpy) , I rarely get 3G.  The phone signal is okay, it's just a data problem.  O2 said it was just how it is.  They said they were merging their masts with Vodafone but couldn't say when. Anyone nearby who had the same problem and solved it by switching?  Thanks

You can be too close to a mast.

For example there is a dead spot for mobile signals around the Ashcombe Cross mast.

I can't be of anymore help I'm afraid - the whole thing of mobile comms (except radios) is beyond me!

Vodafone is rubbish now for the past 18 months.

Vodafone has always been rubbish in Dawlish and O2 is very hit and miss! We really are behind the times when it comes to Internet and mobile phone connections!! 

Hi,I've just got back from Dawlish after a two week holiday and i must say the 3g worked very well(i'm on tesco which use 02)i have had problems in the past when i was with virgin mobile..........just to say 4g works a treat here in Leeds!

Thanks for the replies.  AndyLUFC, never thought I'd have network envy but I must admit I get pretty excited when 4G appears on my phone - not in Devon of course!
