Yes I know they are terribly old fashioned what with rotary dryers and tumble dryers and things but the way I dry my washing is the on the line, in the garden.

But......I am in need of a prop for my washing line.

Anyone know if they are still sold (locally) and if so where.

You could always hone your carpentry skills. Cut a vee in the end of a lump of timber. Job jobbed.

Yes - my preferred solution is also along 'natural' lines (like a very large branch with a fork in it at one end). Just need something rather urgently though.

Argos, Wilko, B&Q all sell them. Amongst others. Depends on your definition of local. In the time it took you to type your request on here, you could have found a source via Google.

Yes I know all those places you mention sell them - before I posted on here I had already googled in order to find out.

Local, for me, in this instance = Dawlish & Teignmouth
