Smoke and flames were seen to be becoming from the huts on Marine Parade at about 1.30am

First the cafe, then the boats last week and now this! What the hell is going on?? I hope that this early-hours-of-the-morning arsonist is found soon before he or she progresses to occupied properties.

I would be interested to know what action (if any) the local plod are doing about this. 2 arson attacks in as many weeks in very close proximity! Some of these sheds are kitted out by those who rent them and it takes time ad money to replace and that's not counting the mental anguish that is also caused by this piece of scums actions.

OurSoul added the cafe as arson, but I believe that from previous posts it was thought to have finally been ruled as an electrical fault, I may be wrong.

What other fires is this little s**t setting, hay bales, barns, cars etc in the local area!

What we need are some wood stocks on the Lawn so that people who damage our town can be locked up for all to see. I'm sure we can collect plenty of moldy veg's to throw at these idoits.

I can't imagine it being young children, if so why on earth would they be out at that time. Also surely their parents would suspect something or even smell smoke on them.

The cafe had its water pipe cut and locks super glue the day before the air show. Not sure if this is all related but surely we need CCTV as it is so isolated round there

The Rockpool Café fire was also arson. Probably lit by the same person that attacked the replacement Love At First Bite café the night before the Airshow.

I get a bit fed up when kids are blamed for everything.

Most young people are at home in bed a those times.

Having lived in the town centre for some years I can speak from first hand knowledge that the vast majority of drunks out late at night are in their early 20's

I suspect this is nothing to do with kids or drunken teenagers

It's never been any different i arrived in middle 80s and beach huts had damage to them then and it's never changed when the weather is good have a walk to Coryton Cove at 1am and see how many kids are there drinking it's always been the same. It is a nice place to live and nothing is going on apart from social media now allows folk to know whats going on in real time. For the last 30yrs kids have been using Coryton for drinking parties and huts have always been damaged, broken into, and at times burnt down, boats have been damaged the Rockpool cafe was also broken into on a number of occasions i think you will find there is more going on in Dawlish than you realize.

It would be interesting to see if there was any uploaded vids on social media of the sheds actually on fire. It would suggest that those who uploaded the vids would have been there around the time of the crime and be a possible avenue of investigation by those in blue.

@BEE9. There is actually. Go to Dawlishbeach.Com and click on recordings tab at top. Click on september 2015 and wait until Blenheim Cam 16th. September comes up, and it`s part 1 at 1hour 18 minutes on right hand side.
