OMG let's hope it isn't the dreaded wind farm, which has been the blight of the South East coast for years!! N

It's part of the operation to recharge the beach/dunes at Dawlish Warren.

@Margaret Swift better for wind farms to be at sea than all over our country side.

@ken better not to have them at all for the poor return in power they actually provide!

@Margaret Swift

How you can say that the offshore windfarms are a 'blight of the SE coast for years' is beyond belief.

As a frequent visitor to that area, the majority are just a tiny speck and not really noticible.

The ones off Whitstable are of course closer to shore but again, they tend to blend into the background due to the colour of them and then you dont notice them.

You are reminiscent of the residents of Ilfracombe who complained that the proposed offshore windfarm that was going to be 10 miles offshore would spoil the view. 10 miles and you wouldn't really see them.

NIMBY comes to mind.

So wind farms are just expensive pieces of junk that litter the countryside and seas.  Well done the Green lobby.

@Carer - perhaps you should have gone to specsavers! the areas I have been to are blighted by these hideous pieces of useless equipment and, no, I would not like to see our beautiful coast ruined by them.
