It would appear that we have a new golf course in Dawlish. Yesterday Sunday about 5pm Four drunks and smackheads attempting to play golf on the Lawns here in Dawlish. They were wacking the golf ball all over the place endangering people and kids walking on or around the Lawn. At one point it was amusing to watch one of them taking nine swings to hit the ball and when he did manage to hit it a child was nearly struck by the ball. I did call 101 and to my amazement they responded pretty quick. When are these people going to be banned from the town?

That is quite shocking, why do people feel the need to be so stupid. I mean on the beach, you wouldn't kick a ball about if it was too busy and you certainly wouldn't play cricket in a crowded area, so what sense of common decency is it to even consider playing golf on the Lawn. We need better watch system in place thats for sure.

I saw a kid (my definition - someone who had the overall look of a child under the age of sixteen, but over the age of 10 years) on the Cove beach with a black widow catapult in hand.

For those that do not know what a black widow catapult is:-

I thought of calling 101, but from previous experiences with some obnoxious operator's I decided to just leave the beach. As I've said many times on this forum you can have as many laws, bylaws and prohibition notices as you wish but without enforcement they are ineffective against those they are specifically targeted at.

Is there a demand for a mini 9 hole on The Lawn, if so it could be built at the same time as the new play park that is being built on The Lawn.
