In the latest Dawlish Post, in the public notices section found on page 72, can be found the following;

" Notice is hereby given etc etc that TDC intends to dispose of an interest in two areas of open space at the following locations:

Pavilion at Forde Park, Newton Abbot

and

Site between Brunswick Place and Dawlish Water, Dawlish (approx 284 square metres) by way of a 5 year lease for use as public seating."

Plans showing the areas of land affected are available for inspection at Forde House."

Anyone know anything more about this? Are they talking about the area of the lawn across the road from Gay's?

They are it will be in safe hands with John Gay. He has been using it for years as seating for his customers i presume he will now be paying a rent.

Well let's hope the rent is paid and that no more trees are felled in that area.
