British Transport Police has warned Devon rail users. It said: "Due to forecasted severe weather affecting the sea wall at Dawlish, no Cross Country services will be able to run between Newton Abbot and Exeter St Davids until 10am tomorrow.

GWR trains run fine during stormy weather, it's just the useless Cross Country rolling stock that can't cope with the waves.  Whoever made the decision to commission trains that aren't fit for purpose is to blame.
