Should we be saying 'the park was required because of environmental legislation' rather than 'the park was needed...........' It might be required but I doubt it was needed and I doubt it will see significant use.............boring green field V seafront, beach, amusements? Time will tell.

Let's hope the people of Dawlish speak up and speak out and save the lawn from the ********* in power at the moment. Why do they feel the need to simply copy what other towns have done without any thought to the appropriateness to Dawlish?

The same thing happened when there was the proposal for the hideous slug on the lawn and people power had a big impact. Our town councillors should be doing far more ...

As this is effectively blocking the footpath contact Councillor Alison Foden, Chair of the civic amenities committee, and ask her to deal with the issue. Footpaths come under the civic amenities committee.

It is for the cyclists to wheel their bikes up or down the very steep incline. They have one in Bideford on the Tarka trail but very few cyclists use it as it is very difficult to wheel your bike and keep control of it down such a steep gulley - I know as I have tried but only once!

@Romulus i agree with some of yourr comments. the vast majority of staff at waitrose are really helpful and courteous but recently i did a click and collect order and the woman who served me was incredibly patronising, suggesting i requested my ordered then did my shopping so she had time to collect it for me. it then took her less that two minutes to come back with my order! me being me i did ...
