Fire crews from Dawlish, Teignmouth and Torquay were mobilised to reports of a fire involving a BT telephone pole in the above location. On arrival, crews confirmed a fire caused by a lightning strike that had set fire to a telephone box. The future of Britain’s most famous black swans is under threat after a string of dog attacks left just one breeding pair.
