Here is the link for all 4 options for SANGS and option 1 would have met with what Ken was on about as all roads lead to it. http://www.teignbridge.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=37826&p=0.  Maybe if the Coastal Park falls through this might be a possible option.  What do people think?

No serious, if you have a small farm and then 1/3 taken off of you it will have a big impact your business.  What are the Air Show to do as his field is used for parking and all the monies taken go towards the next years show?  I can really see Teignbridge running or leasing the car park field for the day, charging and donating the monies to the Dawlish Air Show.  If it becomes a SANG then that ...

Has anyone heard anything more about the proposed Coastal Park at Warren Farm?  People talk about the housing, but not the poor farmer who was to be affected, what is happening, anyone know?

Outline planning permission was granted (all matters reserved) and here is the conclusion of the meeting. http://www.teignbridge.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=40300&p=0

This is the new thinking by the government, though how many of the new builds in the last 5-10 years in Dawlish have been bungalows? As far as I can see it is flats and houses crammed in as tight as possible to maximise return.  If more bungalows were built would it encourage older people to move out of larger family homes?  Some say older people want to live in flats as it is less work and less ...

FredBasset I agree with your comment 'Instead of keep harping on about building social housing why not take the opposite view, build some decent £500,000 upwards detatched properties for wealthy business types and lets see if we can get them to move their businesses to the area in the hope of gaining some jobs.'  Teignbridge has already asked local businesses in 2003 ...

I just think the council have messed Dawlish up and made it harder for businesses in town in general.  It was a badly designed plan, as they had a part blank canvas by removing the wall.  It was bad enough they removed parking spaces, but they could have redesigned where the wide pavements were on the shop side!  Why would Boots need to keep a wide area, when the cafe near it has only a narrow ...

Andysport -  I was wrong, I should have included men as well, because they are important too.  They are just as likely to be taking children too and from school. Kenny - You mention lorries delivering materials to site and the fact that they could only use Secmaton Lane, you are right.  However that argument could not be used about the 3 at Deodar who are so close to the main road that it ...

Kenny you are right about the lane not changing below the site, heading towards the A379 Exeter Road. The fact is the remaining land belongs to someone else, actually 3 landowners.  The farmer's land ceases at the track with the gate to the back and to the left his, and the gate to the right belonging to Hilldrive.  If fact Hilldrive own from their gate on the track right down to the bad bend, ...

Hi Andysport let me clarify who owns what in the Jeffery family.  Lady's Mile farm was bought by old Mr Jeffery (deceased) when camping was becoming popular.  His son's George and Alf joined them in the trade at the hight of the industry and they went on to marry and have children themselves.  There appeared to be a dispute and next the business was split with George running Cofton and Alf Lady's ...
