Viaduct I think you will find that Redruth has a real prolem with anti social behaviour by all age groups.
Where in Dawlish do you see kids behaving badly? There is more trouble fights and anti social behaviour when the pubs close.

Trouble won't be far away when this new drug/alcohol youth centre is built/opened.

Then our councillors will make themselves out as champions against social disruption when it was in fact them that caused the problem in the first place with the sanctioning of this insane project.

Watch curfews and the like emanate from the council chamber as they 'use' this unrest as an excuse to push forward more silly ideas while wasting yet more residents money.

Dullish,
I am interested in the issue of the youth club, even though I am not directly affected.
Are the plans on the web, and, if so, could you give me a link to them, please? If not, where might I go to find out the details?
Don

Viaduct If I read your post wrong I appologies. I thought you were saying you wanted the curfew.

I emailed the Town Council about the Youth Club asking if there is to be a bar and it being used as a drop in center for the disadvantaged,drug/alcohol abusers.
They have passed my request on to the Youth Council, will post any reply I recieve.

Sorry Ann, I was being cynical.
The council installed CCTV at very great expense, for what?
Their excuses ranged from : the fear of crime, as if there was much trouble on that score. To the fact that people will feel much better if the know the cameras are watching their every move.

To apply a curfew when there is no need, (and I understand that it is only a very small minority in Redruth that are causing a problem)Would appear to be right up the street of DTC.

Councillors will get noticed for what is not required, but will remain invisible for things that are.

Viaduct surveylance is not a local problem. This country has more CCTV cameras than anywhere else in the world along with DNA and Electronic Data.
We are in fact entering an Orwellian society by government stealth.

Agreed Ann, and everybody has been sleep walking into it.
I have just had two rear tyres stab with a dart and the near side of the car keyed, right under a CCTV camera.
Sorry the do not work at night.

Two months ago I watched my car being keyed outside Chrissies Florist in the Strand at 12.00 lunchtime, called the Police and was interviewed the next day as was the guy that did it. Told they would check the CCTV infront of the C0-OP as it can scan the whole of the Strand, two weeks later they called to say "Sorry it was not being operated that day"
£80,000 for what?

Selling lottery tickets off the street is against the law. Rotary sell lottery tickets from outside the Lloyds bank and opposite the bank is a CCTV camera. But then those that are affiliated to Rotary are above the law, aren't they Mr Protheroe?
Who is Mr Protheroe? He is the Mayor of Dawlish in case you haven't noticed.

can i make something clear, we have a mini youth centre in dawlish already and do you hear of any trouble there?? no course you dont coz there isnt any. why do people think the worse when something good is going to be built.

i also think viaduct needs to learn to spell, you wont get anywhere in life with that. makes me think your a youth who doesnt want things to happen. im a youth but at least i can put words together and not use short hand, thats for texts not forums!

Get a life you sad loser.

How pathetic you are that you that you feel the need to get the rise out of people by attempting to impersonate them.

This is exactly what happened on the day that the webmaster decided to make this forum Registration Only.

You've killed this forum.

Joey Deacon, I believe your continuous negative comments kill the forum

You need a new dictionary if you think that I'm negative... I'm the one that used to post the sugar-coated, rose-tinted, candy floss flavoured messages, if you recall.

Like many others, I rarely bother with this place any more due to the Dawlish haters like Dullish and Viaduct (and their multiple identities) who will not engage in intellectual debate, but merely either resort to abuse, ignore the facts when they are presented with them, or claim that anyone with an alternative point of view is the Mayor (or some other random person)...

That said, you'll believe what you want to believe, won't you eh? ;-)

Joey Deacon! You yourself have killed this forum.
You do not like the truth and always give out negative comments whenever an answer is required.
We have tracked you down, but you still deny it.

Is it not the case that only the webmaster can use colours etc?? I just tried it, writing a message in colour, I could copy and paste from another source, but it still came up the way it is now. Perhaps somebody other than the webmaster can do it? If not does that mean the webmaster has been unmasked?

Truth,

He must be if he can manipulate his text in the way that he does.

Seriously, if they did think he was the webmaster, I might have expected JD to be congratulated by his detractors on an excellent and informative website which allows them to slag him off.

Schoolboy error Don! You used the word "manipulate" in a posting on here.

This is guaranteed to be used by one of the Angry Mob against all of us members of the inner circle secret society that all post on here. Because, after all, each and every one of us knows how to "manipulate" the truth don't we...

I therefore ban you from this website!

:-p

PS The Truth has very aptly named himself, hasn't he? He gets get mentioned in nearly every posting! LOL.

Manipulate is the key word. It's what Deacon does when he signs in as The Truth or Don 'dull' Pearson. It's also what Dawlish Town Council do, week in, week out.....hence the constant denials from Deacon and his aliases (or should that be ale-asses?), protecting his kind.

No....but I can smell the stench of a Dawlish Town Council lackey......

As for right on cue.....shall we wait a while for the PR responses from Truth/Don Pearson? C'mon Deacon, shake a leg!
