Bored and surfing tonight and found a document that might be of interest to people. A lot of info I didn't know (having lived here pretty much all my life). Would be a good read for 'Newbies' to get acclimatised with too. Hope you like it; just proves how amazing this town is:

As a a "newbie" CHEERS me dears! Will forward it on to two American & Northern friends (married couple) also coming to reside in our fair town, who will love this. While a newbie (from Plymouth, via NZ), I have since discovered that I had an Aunt who worked here in the 1900's as a general servant to a retired General :-D

Agreed.  A well-researched and interesting summary of the historic features of Dawlish.  Worth reading.
