...and I thought it was a 'nothing terrible ever happens' town...sad

Is nowhere sacred anymore?

If recent stories about the 'skull crusher' are anything to go by, this one if convicted will probably end up in some open prison as well after a due number of months...

I kinda think the court is the best place to establish the facts, not this forum

I'm surprised that this forum is being used to name local people who haven't been convicted yet. I recall that this has caused a kerfuffle on here previously.

The details are in the press why not here, those arrested for any offence are often named  and then found not guilty.

Yes it's in the press, but I don't agree with the Press naming straight away. It's a bit like these celebrity items that are happening, it beggings with headlines

"Woman tells how Joe Bloggs sexually assualted her..."

"Joe Bloggs killed 6...."

Then after the verdict of not guilty tells you how Joe Bloggs is a great man and never would.

So best to stick to facts.

I think this post should be removed or altered to name a person before conviction I beleive to be wrong to have the word rape on the front page of a forum of which my children are able to read I think is wrong

Please either remove the thread or at least the word rape from the front page and the persons name.

...and if something terrible happened to you sister/wife/daughter/child...

Agreed not to necessarily repeat the name but good to know the drift of what is currently possible.
