22 acres of standing barley was severely damaged by fire. High voltage power lines the were close to this fire but were not involved in fire and the crews confirmed that they were undamaged. The crews used 2 main jets, 2 hose reel jets, 1 compressed air foam system, 1 water carrier, a local farmers water bowser and 10 beaters to extinguish the fire.

I have a large field of 3 foot high dry grass behind my house. Which the farmer would normally have cut sometime ago, if the airshow had taken place this year, but it did not and he hasn't.

 

I just know there's a good chance of some cretin flicking a fag end whilst walking there dog. If this happens a lot of people's back gardens and sheds are likely to go up as well. I will update this post when and if it happens, just because I can.

Just so there's no ambiguity what does the term "flicking a fag"  mean.? don't want to fall foul of the PC police.
