I like the Co op yes its expensive but the lack of choice means you dont waste money. Sometimes I dont spend anything the long queues being too much to cope with.
Will be pounds in when the tourists arrive queues will be longer shelves empty will pick up loaf bead tin beans from Cost cutter and be healthy

Yesterday i went into Co-op and the queues were really long but, while i stood there waiting for what seemed forever i was listening to the comments. What made me laugh was that nearly everyone young and old moaned about the queues and the summer hasn't even arrived. I wonder if these are the same people who don't want a supermarket in Dawlish. Personally i'm all for supporting local shops but in the summer i shop in Teignmouth because the Co-op is to small to handle the custom.

On the rare occassion I go to Tesco or Asda to shop I get far more for my money, in less time.Having no family here to take me further afield I have no choice but use the co op.There has always been problems in the summer even in sommerfield but at least they gave value for money.

The people who dont want a new supermarket are the ones who get in their cars and travel miles to shop they forget about those who are unable to or care about their carbon footprint. Dawlish is growning rapidly to keep pace with modern times it needs another supermarket.
Another supermarket wont kill Dawlish town its happening already the shops need to diverse

I noticed you didnt get a reply because you hit the right button. People with money and cars will travel to Exeter or Newton to do their shopping they probably work out of town as well they want their little castles to be as they are they dont want a decent supermarket or affordible housing polluting their space

How are you going to get all your shopping on and off the train then? And it's a bit of a walk isn't it from the site of the Tesco Express to/from Teignmouth Rail station?

Best of luck!
