More Good News - Crime DOWN

Metropolitan police: CCTV is a complete waste of money. Figures show - that only 3% of covictions are attributable to CCTV.

Dawlish Town Council took the people of Dawlish for a ride. They said, and it is recorded in the minutes, "We do not have enough crime to justify CCTV". So what did they do? they justified it by claiming there is a fear of crime. And how did they do that? They claimed that after consultation with the people of Dawlish, there was an overwhelming majority that wanted CCTV. Well that majority, (which is on record) was all of 16, funny how there are 16 councilors. They had a consultation among themselves and voted in favour of it themselves, thats the way to get a majority. It is called, "Totalitarian Democracy".
And to you jokers on here, you wait until your next council tax bill drops through the letter box, you will then begin to realise that we are not joking when we are trying to highlight what your crap councilors are up too.
They will happily spend your money, and if they haven't got enough, they will happily put the precept up.
CCTV needs upgrading to be effective, now who is going to pay for that? Not your crappy councilors, that's for sure.
