Hello, I would like to learn to use a sewing machine. Is anyone aware of any class run in the local area?

You could try D&S Sewing machines in Newton Abbot, I think they used to run classes on Saturday mornings for sewing machine beginners. Their website is http://www.dandssewingmachines.co.uk/  They are near the train station.
