Solution to Housing

Heard an interesting itme on the radio this morning.  A young couple who couldn't afford a house bought a double-decker bus and converted it into a one-bedroomed home. Cost? £3000 for the bus, don't know about the conversion but couldn't have been much more than £10k since they did the work themselves.  Effectively they ended up with a modrn apartment at minimal cost - apparently better than the flat that the interviewer lived in!

So how about buying 4 double-decker buses (£12k), parking them next to each other, putting a common roof over the top and inetrconnecting doors to create a substantial 4-bedroomed "house".  I suppose you'd need a bit of land as well but even with that it must be substantially less than a brand-new 4-bedroomed house (and might even last longer!!)
