THE STRAND – DAWLISH – TEMPORARY PARKING RESTRICTIONS
From Monday 27th July 2020 until 31st August 2020 there will be temporary parking restrictions in place in the centre of Dawlish.
The road effected is THE STRAND only, between the pay and displays bays for the hours of 10am until 3pm.
Disabled bays, loading bays and the STRAND Car park are not affected.
This temporary restriction has been granted by Devon County Council and is considered necessary to enable COVID – 19 Social distancing measures.
All necessary road traffic regulation signs are currently in place on lamp posts along the STRAND for the public to view.

And who is going to Police it folk park as they want from 0800 this morning a car has been parked in Brunswick place the Brook side blocking the footpath and on double yellows folk with wheelchairs have been struggling all day. The DCC CEO  only stays for a short while a hour at tops and cant deal with obstructions or those parking on zig zags only the Police can deal with that. The PCSO's have no traffic powers so as far as i am concerned parking restrictions are a joke as no one is interested in enforcing the restrictions already in place never mind new ones.

Has anybody seen a copy of the official Traffic Order granted by the dept of transport that DCC have a legal requirement to obtain before instigating these restrictions. I very much doubt they have applied for and been granted such, in which case the restrictions are unenforceable and the signage is just another waste of tax payers money. No doubt the idiot Stuart Huges is behind this.
