Newton Abbot MP Anne Marie Morris has sounded the alarm after hearing that funding for vital work to protect the exposed coastal railway line through her constituency is at risk. She says it is “wholly unacceptable” that huge sums of money are being spent on the controversial HS2 line to the north of England while funding for the only rail link in and out of the South West is in jeopardy
