Three businesses in Teignbridge have been shortlisted for the Devon and Plymouth Chamber Awards, which celebrate Devon’s leading entrepreneurs and businesses. Neil Salter, founder of Coast Cams, based in Dawlish, is shortlisted for the Game Changer Award, which recognises an individual who has turned an idea into a successful, sustainable business.

ORGANISATIONS providing support to some of the most hard-up communities in Teignbridge have received a boost. Groups including Dawlish Scouts and Shaldon Water Carnival, which all rent council property, can now apply for subsidies.

A NEW attraction is finally due to arrive at Dawlish Warren, six years after it was first suggested. A 34m observation wheel will be erected on the Teignbridge Council-owned grassy area of Beach Walk.

A 26 METRE bridge has been successfully lifted into position as part of a multi-million road project in Dawlish. Specialist contractors were brought in for the operation which required a 500 ton crane to lift the bridge.
