I thought things would get worse, this is a black day for 'Great'  Britain. If I had to sum up the Tories surprise majority, which I definitely didn't expect. Then I'd use a military/war analogy. it's as if the Liberal democrats decided to fight for the wrong side for 5 years against Labour, then hand the Tories all their arms, then attempt to attack the Tories (a little bit but not so ...

Agreed, they also had an opportunity to put themselves forward as a real alternative party, but played it safe in my opinion. But then there's a thin line between alienating or scaring voters and devising a vision to inspire. I think they underestimated how difficult it was to argue on matters other than tackling austerity and the economy. But then again the party's roots are  middle class. ...

The public's perception of the leaders is based on how they are portryaed in the media too, Cameron was hardly lambasted compared to the others. I wonder why? And before I get lambasted burnside, you do have a point, Milliband, Clegg and Bennett all showed naivety and a lack of awareness. And maybe t it woul've been different under the other brother.

Good choice A Frame, I know Doc will be glad to hear that

On my letter, the bottom of the page reads.. Printed, published and promted by S. Morgan for and on behalf of Richard Younger-Ross and Newton aboot Liberal Democrats at 41 Higher... The Liberal Democrats HQ. The same text that appears in all their literature. It's clearly not written by Richard Weeks and it is so transparently authored by the likes of Wrigley and Taylor. It's ...

I didn't think you were being mailicious to Doc, but I didn't think you specifically were being preached to either. I think that's how you interpreted it and probably because like most of us you feel bewildered by what is true and what is false about climate change for example. It's not a nice prospect and being defensive is a natural reaction. But if it is swept under the carpet and someone ...

Thanks 1263, Yes I agree with about signalling the source in terms of political affiliation for example. I definitely am a member of the public and I'm certainly disllusioned with the staus quo for social and environmental reasons, economic too. And dealing with them as separate, supposedly unconnected issues really makes me despair. I couldn't be a party member or activist, but I do ...

@ Soul Of Dawlish. Sorry but no I can't virtually shake your hand. And I felt your olive branch to Doc was a hollow gesture, but I do understand that by admitting you were wrong would be political suicide, so it is a game you have to play. Doc exposed flaws and inconsistencies in the Liberal Democrats supposed policies and questioned their integrity as have I. But I understand that as a ...

I have taken issue with the ref and the 'Soul of Dawlish', bullying and bias in general. I don't know who is being referred to by 'man'?
