Concerns over lawn drinking, the Dawlish article written in June would fall in line with what the staff told me that this is mainly theft by tourists. Though I don't like speculation so I wonder how many convictions there have actually been ?

Oh my, most of you haven't got a clue, I strongly suggest you go and do a day or two volunteering for a charity that tries to help people that may have either a drink or drug issue, it may open your mind to the reality.   There isn't enough room here for me to put my opinion on, but I will say people in Dawlish with alcohol in their hands have got more respect from me than a few of you on here, ...

48% of men don't wash their hands after going to the toilet I would sooner have to dodge dog poo on the floor than eat my dinner with someone elses poo on my hands (from the door handle) I even pick the poo up out of our field. lets start another thread about bl**dy horse owners, no tax, no insurance, poo the size of tennis balls arhhhh !

I think it's a good thing at least the site will now get cleaned up, It won't look such an eyesore, the children will have to attend school, and their will be some sort of accountability. They will get refuse collection and therefore not need to dump rubbish. As for council tax what about all these people living 11 months of the year in their caravans on Peppermint, Oakcliff, ladysmile etc ...

I hope we don't get a mcdonalds or kfc, During the past 2 months, I have seen several mcdonalds bags littering the Dawlish/Cockwood area, I hate to imagine what it would be like if there was one here. Actually I think I'll get my franchise application in now for Mcdonalds, it should do great business, all the food outlets in Dawlish will slowly be closing as no one can park now to get to ...

Hi, Good idea Lynne, The power unit delivered definately wasn't for Sainsbury's, I know someone who was working on the unit that day, also they have worked down their since for half a day, not a lot going on, only one or two people on site at a time.

Hi flo there is a park planned opposite Gate house school though it's part of a planning condition so when the houses are built the park will be built.

Fred, the electricity tranformer was delivered to site on the 22nd January at approx 9.32am the site manager was onsite to oversee the delivery and installation, the cost of such a unit would be approx £20,000 and the site manager has been appointed. I was told that an agreement had been reached and work would commence in January, it may be slow but it is happening.
