I wonder if they will remain 'on the table' until after the election.

They talk about the North/South divide, what about the West.  The one fast train from Paddington to Plymouth (barely 30 miles more distance) is 3 hours, with the rest running between 3hr 20m - 3hr 40m.   And no motorway beyond Exeter.    Yet the Chancellor giddily proposes HS3 between Manchester and Leeds to reduce the current 49 minute journey!  Not that it'll ever happen Gideon, canny ...

There's a lot of technical detail but in terms of practical impact I see that the removal of the containers/contents will be done by sea and will mean closure of the area from mid August into September, therefore no access along the seawall between Dawish and the Warren for holidaymakers and those walking that way for the Airshow/Bank Holiday weekend.

Unsurprising comments from those not affected. How old is the hospital?   Am intrigued to understand whether it was design, materials, workmanship or act of god that caused the roof to fail.  My mother's 60 year old roof is still watertight without any work ever done to it.  Sign of the times?

I always assumed Carer was male... Let's leave it eh.  The point is I was complimenting the event.

Yea, you could see the work that went into the staging. Whatever eventually replaces the bandstand could (hopefully/I'm sure) make these events a 'must play' venue for artists etc.
