The proposal has caused mixed feelings among locals with many sceptical about aspects of the proposal such as affordable housing.

The southern part of the application site has had planning permission for over 10 years for employment use, but this has never been taken up, and overall the results of the environmental impact assessment indicates that the site will not cause any significant negative effects.

There will be adverse environmental effects in terms of a permanent loss of agricultural land as well as permanent adverse visual effects from some viewpoints.

The application is yet to be placed before the Teignbridge planning committee, so if you would like to contribute your reservations then please do so. You can also express your views in our discussion forum.
