Exeter CC employee G Urwin has now been referred to the Crown Court, Dec 3rd, to answer the charge of Misconduct in Public Office, he airbrushed out part of the road name on the map, also made a false statement to the Parking Adjudicator to force a Parking Ticket to be paid. He has since left the Council. If found guilty the maximum sentence is LIFE, a bit extreme but thats what it is.

"

Parking 'shambles' to be investigated, says chief executive

Cllr Prowse has sent a copy of his findings to senior county officers as well as the Secretary of State and is awaiting their responses. In addition he is to ask at Devon's cabinet meeting on Wednesday when residents and motorists can expect to be re-imbursed for the money they have paid out in fines and for parking permits.

Mr Harrison, the county's Deputy Executive Director for Environment, Economy and Culture, said: "The correspondence from Cllr Prowse raises a number of issues which will need to be thoroughly investigated by the authority and therefore we cannot indicate when we may be able to give a substantive response."
