Yellow parking sign opposite Ladbrokes is wrong states No Parking No Waiting No Loading at any time, beware you could get a ticket even if you pay to park as we all know that the ceo uses no common sense!!!!!
Is someone mucking about with the parking signs in town, as mentioned in another post the ones up near the manor house on old town street keep disappearing and reappearing with apparently different things written on them.
Carnival Day NO PARKING from 1600-22.30
Funny about those parking signs, I can't remember there ever being any in The Strand. Seems that it was two-way traffic along it as well, not enough cars to cause a problem when I did my paper round from Boons Newsagency for 12 shillings and sixpence a week.. I guess things have regressed since those halcyon days of 1955. Pity, that!
Just a query regarding street name change. When was The Cut renamed to Lawn Hill?
