I've been asked to compile a list of tips, things that can help save us all money on our weekly food budget. I have started on listing tips and tricks that I know

But what are your favourite family money saving tips?

And what are your other favourite tricks and tips in the kitchen? Preventing onions from making you cry etc. Post them here and I will add to my growing list,s that I will then post up on a permanent, easy access document

This came about after a pal reading two recipes from well known celebrity chefs this week, one was a chocolate cake that needed 18 eggs and the other recipe for a Sunday roast that started with a 'large rib of beef'. Not sure who they were aiming at, but I am sure the average person doesn't shop for a large rib of beef every Sunday

hmmm .... chocolate omelet? Heston would be proud of your thinking Philip ;-)

Actually a souffle chocolate omelet, with a fresh raspberry sauce makes a lovely dessert (=[:-D
