We are trying to make people aware that Teignbridge District Council has put the Pirates Chest up for tender in a way that seems very under-handed to Bob. Many of you know he has been there for over 30years and is much loved by all. Please read the copy of the email sent to Nicola Bulbeck " Cheif Executive",email addy:- Nicola.Bulbeck@teignbridge.gov.uk,   John Cocker "Director", John.Cocker@teignbridge.gov.uk   Tracey Higgs "Service Manager" tracey.higgs@teignbridge.gov.uk   and also to Anne Marie Morris MP annemarie@annemariemorris.co.uk  .     We are asking all to contact these people by email either with thier own words or simply copy and paste the one below to show your support for Bob and Barbara .............We have recently learned that the above has been put out to tender having discovered the details on Teignbridge District Councils web site.  Was this advertised in the local papers too?   We are very distressed at the short notice given to the current tentants who have been there for over 30 years. They are very much loved and valuable members of our community;  always providing an excellent service;  always friendly;  kind; knowledgeable of the local area;  nothing to much trouble for them. The food is always fresh, cooked to order and of excellent quality. Moreover, they have achieved a 5 rating  on the Food Standards Agency something which very few reached.  The Pirates Chest is not just very popular with the locals, people visit regulary from all over Great Britain and Internationally. Indeed many repeat visitors  who have known Bob & Barbara since thier childhood, now bring their own children.  This not only reflects on the excellent service ect provided but is also down to the personalities of Bob & Barbara McHardy the curent tenents.  Whilst we are sure there is more behind the scenes than has been publically made known about  the reason for asking new bidders, we think this is a very shabby way to treat a couple who have contributed so much to the local and wider community.  Does loyalty, hard work and decency count for nothing anymore?      Thank You for any and all support.
