Police are appealing for witnesses after more than £3,000 of jewellery was stole in a burglary at Holman's Close was burgled last month.

Another property was also targeted in the road and jewellery, a mobile phone and laptop were taken totalling £1,275.

Police say the crimes took place between August 14-27

It is believed that at least one of the burglaries may have occurred in the early hours of August 26, but this is yet to be confirmed.

"The people in both properties were on holiday when their homes were targeted, it's always horrible for anyone to come back to find they've been burgled," said DC Donna Tulloch of Totnes CID.


"We'd like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anyone acting suspicious in the area."
