What is most interesting with this story is, will anything be done about it by anyone.
It appears time and time again that total incompetence within local government is rewarded rather than penalised.
It will be a very rare occurance if the outcome of this results in anyone being sacked without payoffs and pension benifits.
I would also have a bet that we never see a list of the non legitimate on street parking restrictions or the removal of any yellow lines and ticket machines
Like all councils DCC are bomb proof and self protecting
fredBasset: I have to agree on every point you make, also how do they manage to keep the money illegaly taken which amounts to fraud, yet they do.
If officials at DDC have sanctioned such an obvious breech of the laws, why is there not an automatic response from a prosecuting body such as the CPS
If you or I committed public fraud and got caught out we would be facing ten years in jail plus ceasure of our assets
