Flood Warning for Monday morning for coastline through to the Warren, and a separate warning for Cockwood

Sandbags are available on Dawlish seafront if needed.  There is also a supply in the Barton carpark

Low lying and exposed communities between Start Point and Dawlish Warren, including Beesands, Torcross, Slapton, Torbay and Dawlish

This Flood Warning is in force for the high tide on the morning of Monday 3rd March. Flooding is expected at exposed coastal locations. Beaches, coastal promenades, roads and footpaths may be flooded. A Flood Alert will remain in force for the whole of the South Devon Coast from Saturday evening’s high tide through until Tuesday. The time and date of forecast high water is 07:45 on 03 Mar 2014. The predicted astronomical tide level is 2.50m AOD. The forecast surge height is 0.31m. The forecast wind direction is WNW. The forecast wind strength is Force 3. Times of high tide will vary along the coast. Conditions will usually apply 2-4 hours either side of high tide

 

Low lying areas and communities in the Erme, Avon, Kingsbridge, Dart, Teign and Exe Estuaries, including Aveton Gifford, Salcombe, Kingsbridge, Cockwood, Topsham and vulnerable parts of Dartmouth, Teignmouth and Shaldon
