From TDC's website. My emphasis in red (I've responded by saying there should be more child care infrastructure for 0-4 year olds given the number of new homes in the district with accompanying young families).

"Chance to have your say on developers' levy

More than £100 million is expected to be raised in the coming years to fund essential infrastructure through a levy developers pay on all new developments in Teignbridge.

Called the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL), it was first introduced in Teignbridge in 2014 and is used to fund for example roads, schools, parks and public transport facilities.

It is being updated to reflect current viability evidence produced through the preparation of the draft Teignbridge Local Plan and from Monday (4 December) businesses and residents are being invited to comment on the proposals in a five-week consultation.

The proposed new rates vary across the district according to property values. They seek to balance the housing supply and infrastructure delivery envisaged in the draft local plan with site viability which takes in a range of issues such as affordable housing provision, build cost and sales values.

Executive Member for Planning, Cllr Gary Taylor stressed that Teignbridge is committed to maximising funding for essential infrastructure from new developments. “We believe the proposals will deliver much needed funding while supporting the goals of the local plan and I would urge businesses and individuals to comment on the updated charges before consultation closes at noon on 8 January 2024”.

Copies of the proposed CIL Charging Schedule and the policies and guidance which underpin it are available in libraries, town and parish council offices, Forde House and on our website and businesses and residents are encouraged to respond to the consultation using the online feedback response form. which will be live from Monday.

Alternatively, residents can write to CIL Review, Spatial Planning and Delivery, Forde House, Newton Abbot, TQ12 4XX or email%u202Flocalplanreview@teignbridge.gov.uk

Once the consultation ends, the draft CIL Charging Schedule and all comments received will be submitted for examination in public by the planning inspectorate."
