On the main page of this forum there is a thread Discussion Dawlish Town Council, maybe we should all register and put our misgivings on there. Ineptitude or corruption this state of affairs cannot go on.
Viaduct maybe you can enlighten us re these hidden cost
Whats wrong with critisism maybe if enough people complain something will be done most of us want the town to grow and flourish. The long queues in Somerfields were in the summer not all year round.
Maybe we should be more positive about our town it does have a lot going for it. I think people would shop here if there was a decent supermarket Somerfields used to be really busy
Are you saying the council has our best interest at heart if so that will be a first. Public consultation is usually done in such a way that the majority of the public DO NOT become involved. At least one member of the public should have been invited on the trust to be spokesperson for the majority,and maybe 1 councilor. I would think the vast majority of people are not interested in making ...
I may be wrong about employees but look on their web site 3 town councilors are members of the trust the rest are made up of buisiness people those with managerial experience & community workers thats not rumour its on their web site
My guess it was the council who decided the trust members there are 11 members 3 are town councilors not one is joe blog. Reading their web site they spent untold thousands putting boards along the coastal pathways to celebrate the railway coming to Dawlish a lot of the effort will be aimed at tourism. They are a limited company and employ at least 5 people. Suppose we all have differing ideas ...
If the report was "leaked" its obvious we are not going to be told or asked our opinions about the whole story. The whole report should be printed in the paper or sent to every home if not it proves our council is not democratic
The Dawlish post has never printed real news good bad They wont print controversial letters if you want to read about crime in Dawlish you have to buy an Exprss & Echo. Newspapers are a good source of information the BBC is a voice box for the goverment who own it
Viaduct the rents are a lot higher than I realised how on earth do people afford them. I have 2 children at home 24 and 25 they are moving out of the area because they want to get on the housing ladder and also get paid more
