Remember what the old town council did and wanted to do? How could you forget?!

The Audit Commission has now completed its investigations and has issued its report.

There will be a special meeting of the Town Council on August 4th in the Manor House, starting at 7pm to debate the report.

People wanting to see the report can view it at

Thanks for posting that Lynne, it made interesting reading. I had no idea of the plans to build a purpose built town hall on Barton Car Park and that Park Road was an interim measure.

The report is detailed and can now be read on the Town Council website, just look down the left hand menu and click there.

There's an open meeting of the Town Council on Thursday evening at 7pm at the Manor House, to debate the report and agree action to be taken.
