But presumably this application refers only to the Tesco application and shouldn't preclude Sainsbury's from getting on with the build of their already approved scheme. But then what happened to the Sainsbury's build and where is it?

Many countries experienced difficulties after the banking crash but were better placed to move into recovery, unlike us who are suffering from the ridiculous amount of debt amassed by the current government whose spending has been out of control for years. It is for this that we will all have to suffer.

It looks like good news, but how long before Tesco appeal again? How does a supermarket ever get built in this country?

With the mess in High Street the blind turn outside Costcutters has become lethal, with cars parked on double yellows all over the place meaning that traffic sometimes comes round the bend on the wrong side of the road and completely blind. I think the answer is because people drove like lunatics down High Street, especially at night. I've seen some still driving like lunatics despite the road works!

And the population has increased - and continues to increase - to an alarming extent.

Sadly that seems to be the case. It was OK for a while, but if you had wanted to go in more recently it always looked as if you had to push through a load of drunks cluttering up the entrance. The appearance was offputting.
